So if you have followed me on twitter, you know I have been traveling a bit. It made me realize a few things when I was back home and my hearing aid was a bit off in the sound. Now, I knew I had changed the battery, the ear plug/mold looked fine.... I just couldn't pin point why the sound was a bit off and even weirder when I spoke with my good friend on the phone it was hard to hear him, which usually I don't have a problem with. It had me ponder for a moment about it and I took off the hearing aid, just to look it all over, you know... like everything. And to my horror I saw there was a hole in the "tube" that goes from ear plug/mold to the hearing aid itself. Now, this was the first time this has happened to me at all. Only other hole I've had was in the ear plug/mold itself and that was like 12-13 years ago. So I was really surprised to find the hole in the "tube". Needless to say it made me think about, just what I had taken with me on my trip. I had the battery (way too many...), something else you can replace on the outside of the hearing aid if it gets too dusty kinda. But that was about it. I realized I would have been a good idea to have like a travel kit for your hearing aid, in case the bad luck catch up on you... So do you ever think about how much to bring, do you have a "hearing aid kit" to bring with you and have you had use of it while on vacation?
