Hello again, and hoping you are all jolly well. My name is Heather and I teach baby signing in Leicester with TinyTalk.
Now in our classes we sing a lot of nursery rhymes and action songs which is great for hearing babies but not only that it really helps us to use the signs more often as we sing to our little ones on a daily basis. We can even add in songs such as this is the way we brush our teeth, and use the actions as sing and do the signs and engage with our young all giving lots of language development and stimulation to our very clever little ones.
Children also like repetition and start to have their favorite songs which is so very sweet. One song we sing is see the little bunnies sleeping till its nearly noon, the toddlers all lie down and really love the bouncing part when the bunnies awake, its all jolly good fun.
Not only that songs such as the hokey cokey help teach left from right, others such as the Grand Old Duke of York teach up and down. So many songs have actions and really help teach your little person lots of things especially with encouragement and joining in the fun.
So do have fun with the nursery rhymes with your babies, help teach fun signs too and songs such as 12345 once I caught a fish alive is great for counting. What can you loose.
So just a short sweet post this week but yes do keep learning the songs you are really helping your baby's or toddlers or child's development.
Untill next week my dears, keep well.
I am a mother of 4, teach baby signing and also BSL level 2 qualified, love TKD and much more.
