I have been collecting empty wet wipe packets now for a couple of years and my shed is heaving with them.
A past collegue of mine Heather Othick from Ellies Fund brain tumour research lost her beautiful daughter to brain cancer. Ellie was an inspiration she raised so much money for cancer in her later years it was amazing, now her mummy a past TinyTalk baby signing teacher is putting her heart and soul into the cause.
After putting this poster on my facebook page my friend Georgie Budding took the story to heart and created a event for as many people to collect these wet wipe packets as possible and as a result thousands of pounds have been raised.
This Wednesday I will be meeting Georgie with my bags and bags of wet wipe packets collected from the TinyTalk mums of Leicester over the past year and finally get them shipped of to support the cause. Each empty packet is worth 2p to ellies fund and all the packets are recycled helping the envirenment.
There are many teachers thoughout the UK that collect these wet wipe packets and together we really make a difference and it is all down to a very brave young girl and her mummy and not forgetting a women with a big heart and so it continues, Heather has melted many hearts and so many people are dedicated to the cause, it is beautiful.
I am a mother of 4, teach baby signing and also BSL level 2 qualified, love TKD and much more.
